Dr. Lawrence grew up in a Navy family and is originally from Bethesda, Maryland. Patrick has lived all over the Southeast and knew he wanted to pursue a career in dentistry from a very young age. He received his degree from the Medical College of Virginia and completed postgraduate training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Lawrence is devoted to providing his patients the best care in the most comfortable and convenient manner possible.

Patrick loves the outdoors, especially being on the water. Outside the office, you are likely to find him on the Chesapeake Bay. Patrick also enjoys playing golf when he cannot be on the water. Wave hello to Dr. Lawrence and his wife if you see them walking their yellow lab Wilma in the neighborhood.

Dr. Christopher Collie is a native of Danville, Virginia. During Chris' adolescent years, he discovered his passion for dentistry from the guidance and mentoring he received while shadowing his family dentist. A graduate of Hampden-Sydney College, he received his degree from the VCU School of Dentistry at the Medical College of Virginia and completed postdoctoral training in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at East Carolina University's School of Dental Medicine.

After completing his residency, Dr. Collie practiced in Asheville, NC before returning to Richmond to be closer to family and friends. He and his wife, Jessica, enjoy spending time with their sons and golden retriever. Outside the office, Chris is active with his church, fly fishing and hiking, and enjoys playing the electric guitar and drums. Dr. Collie is committed to providing his patients with the highest degree of care with gentle and personalized treatment.

Having grown up in Richmond, Dr. Matt Pelais is proud to provide care to his home community at RVA Dental Care. Dr. Pelais attended the University of Virginia for his undergraduate degree and VCU School of Dentistry at MCV for his dental degree. He then completed a two year residency at the UVA Health System where he advanced his skills in implant and sedation dentistry while treating patients with medical complexities and special needs. Following his training, he owned a private practice in Lexington, Kentucky before returning home to Richmond, VA to raise his family. Dr. Pelais then served as the director of Advanced Education in General Dentistry at VCU, teaching dentists advanced procedures in comprehensive, restorative, and surgical dentistry. Dr. Pelais is grateful to return to private practice in the city he has always called home at RVA Dental Care.

Dr. Pelais' approach with his patients is to provide high quality care with compassion. He focuses on staying up to date with advanced technologies in dentistry to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for his patients. Outside of the office, you will find Matt taking on outdoor adventures with his wife, Kate, and their two kids, Charlotte and Lincoln.

Originally from West Virginia, Dr. Emma Moredock made her way to Virginia to attend James Madison University (go Dukes!) before earning her dental degree from the VCU School of Dentistry. She went on to complete a General Practice Residency at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, where she gained advanced training and practiced for several years before making her way back to Richmond.

Emma is passionate about connecting with her patients and making dentistry feel approachable and comfortable. She regularly joins a team of local dentists on a mission trip to Jamaica, providing care to communities in need—a highlight of her year and a reminder of why she loves what she does.

Outside the office, you can find Emma playing tennis, checking out local live music, or catching up with friends over a good meal. She lives in Bon Air with her husband, Stephen, and their pup Alfredo—who may just be the real star of the family.
